What the file actually contains

CGM validates shipment records, not consignee documents

In the CMCHI01 structure, consmaster carries the MAWB-level record and conshouse carries each HAWB under that master. The attached type of file contains Consol Agent ID, Customs House Code, optional flight/IGM references, MAWB, HAWB, origin, destination, shipment type, packages, gross weight and item description.

It does not contain consignee name, address or IEC in these records. A page should therefore not claim that it can verify consignee IEC from this CGM file. Live registration, airline prefix and port validity remain ICEGATE-side checks.

Matching logic

Why a clean MAWB is not enough

Every HAWB should point to the same MAWB, Consol Agent ID, Customs House Code and route used by the master record. The tool also detects duplicate HAWB numbers and compares house package and weight totals with the master declaration.

ICEGATE's published acknowledgement list includes errors for missing or invalid values, duplicate house detail, master packages being greater than house packages, and gross-weight difference above or below 10% between master and house levels.
